PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY. BY BOOKING AND REGISTERING ON OUR WEBSITE YOU ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR AGREEMENT WITH KEMP TOWNHOUSE’S TERMS & CONDITIONS. 

 

Prices

Prices quoted are inclusive of service and VAT. The Kemp Townhouse reserves the right to alter prices for any reason up to the date of booking or up to 12 weeks prior to arrival, whichever is the later. After such dates, prices may only be altered to reflect changes in the rate of VAT or for other reasons beyond the control of Kemp Townhouse, in which case the changes will be notified to the Client. In the latter event, the Client may cancel the booking without cost.

Availability

All rooms and rates offered by the Kemp Townhouse are subject to availability and the discretion of the management. Limited numbers of suitable rooms may be allocated to individual rates, packages or promotions and, when these allocations are taken up, remaining available rooms may be offered to the Client at a higher price.

Arrival and Departure

Every effort will be made to assure availability of rooms by 3.00 pm. If arriving any earlier we will do our utmost to accommodate, however, you will appreciate that, during busy periods, access before this time cannot be guaranteed. If you are likely to arrive after 7pm, please let us know. Arrivals after 9.00pm need to be agreed in advance. Guest Our check out time is 11am on the day of departure. The Kemp Townhouse reserves the right to charge a fee for late check-outs.

Payments

Your booking confirmation number confirms your booking with Kemp Townhouse.

This booking is guaranteed by your credit card number:

50% of the booking fee will be taken as deposit to guarantee the booking at the time of booking by the credit card information you have submitted unless it is specified otherwise.

The remaining 50% booking fee is due upon departure.

Kemp Townhouse boutique hotel requires a minimum stay of two nights when booking a Saturday. At the discretion of Kemp Townhouse boutique hotel, or for some packages, full pre-payment may be required.

Credit card use

Each booking must be guaranteed by a valid credit card. The card details are held securely by us and are only used to secure the 50% deposit unless it is specified the guest would like to secure the booking differently.

The card details are also used in case of no show and late cancellation or in the event of damages caused.

Cancellation Policy

We accept cancellations 3 days or more prior to the day of arrival free of charge. For cancellations made less than three days prior to the day of arrival, where we are able to resell the room no charge will be made. However should this not be possible or in the event of a no-show/early departure the full cost of the stay will be charged.

We strongly recommend that guests take out travel insurance.

Cancellations or changes can be done via your online guest management account by clicking on the link "my account" found on the website. Alternatively, please send an email to reservations@kemptownhouse.com or telephone +44 (0)1273 681 400 to cancel.

In case of no show, or departure prior to the scheduled one, the Hotel has the authority to charge the credit card provided with the full amount of the cost of the reservation.

Payments and Balances

You agree to pay for all and any of your outstanding payments/ bookings/ balances for products or services purchased or confirmed. You agree that the Kemp Townhouse may charge your credit card as listed in your booking for any outstanding balances, and for any additional amounts.

If you would like to pay for any outstanding payments/bookings/balances with another credit card than the one used for the guarantee, or by any other means please inform the Kemp Townhouse about any such changes via the “special request text box” via our website or on the day of arrival during the check-in.

Non-Smoking Policy

The Kemp Townhouse operates a No Smoking policy in all interior and exterior areas, including guest bedrooms, public areas, corridors, balconies and fire escapes. Guests who do not comply with our No Smoking policy may be charged a fine of £200 (to be added to their bill) to cover the cost of cleaning all soft furnishings to remove the odour of tobacco.

People per room

Single bedrooms are only suitable for one person.

Double bedrooms are only suitable for two people.

Children of any age are counted as a full person. At least one person per booking must be over 18 years old.

Dogs and other pets

Pets are not accepted, with the exception of guide dogs. However, please be aware that any damages arising would need to be paid for.

Behaviour

The Kemp Townhouse reserves the right to judge acceptable levels of noise and the behaviour of guests, who must take corrective action when requested to do so by Management. In the event of failure to comply with management requests, the Kemp Townhouse boutique may terminate the booking without being liable for any refund or compensation.

Discrimination

The Kemp Townhouse does not discriminate on the grounds of race, colour, nationality, creed, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, age, ethnic origin or disability. Clients, their employees, guests and all sub-contractors engaged by or on behalf of the Client are expected to adhere to this policy and the Kemp Townhouse may, without incurring any liability to the Client, remove from the premises any person not complying with this policy.

Comments and complaints

Any comment or complaint regarding the stay should be made to the Kemp Townhouse Duty Manager at the time of visit so that the matter can be resolved immediately.

Liability

Other than for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Kemp Townhouse, our liability to the Client is limited to the price of the booking.

Unless the Kemp Townhouse is liable under the above clause, the Client indemnifies the Kemp Townhouse from and against any and all liability and any claims, proceedings or damages resulting or arising from the booking, event or function, the Client, guests or any outside contractors of the Client.

The Kemp Townhouse will not be liable for failure to perform to the extent that the failure is caused by any factor beyond its reasonable control. It also does not accept any responsibility whatsoever for damage to, or theft from, or theft of, vehicles parked outside Kemp Townhouse’s premises or for parking fines incurred due to incorrect use of parking permits.

We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage, caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless act, omission, default or neglect of the Clients, their guests or sub-contractors to the Kemp Townhouse's property or structure. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to guest's credit / debit card, or send an invoice for the amount required to make good or remedy any such damage, to the registered address. This also applies to Company property removed from the building.

Third Party Liability

The Kemp Townhouse does not accept any liability for services rendered by third parties to Clients notwithstanding that such services may be arranged by the Kemp Townhouse. Any claim, demand, charge, suit or damages which may be incurred by the Clients or their guest (or any person claiming thereunder) shall be made directly with such third parties and the Kemp Townhouse shall render all reasonable assistance in this regard.

Insurance

The client is recommended to have, and is responsible for, insurance to cover cancellation and curtailment and loss of baggage, personal effects and money.

Personal Details & Data protection

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete required information during the sign-up and booking processes.

You are entirely responsible for all provided information and a credit card guarantee. The Kemp Townhouse shall not be responsible for any losses arising out of the unauthorised use of your Account. 

The information provided by the Client may be processed by the Kemp Townhouse for the purposes it has notified to the Information Commissioner. By confirming a booking or enquiry, the Client consents to this processing of the information. The Kemp Townhouse respects the privacy of every individual who visits our website.

We will under no circumstances give your personal data to third parties. However, unless you specifically ask us not to (and this option is always given) we will use your data to send you further information from the Kemp Townhouse. Any e-mail sent to you will always provide you with the option to unsubscribe. This is in accordance with UK Data Protection Legislation.

When making a booking, your credit card or billing account details are only retained for the purpose of handling that individual transaction, unless you ask us to keep these details for future purchases which you may make through us.

In order to process a booking or enquiry, your personal Information and payment details may be passed to third party service providers and, where we are lawfully requested to do so, regulatory authorities. Such third party service providers will have access to the personal information needed to perform the relevant service. They may not, however, use your personal information for any other purposes and are required to process your personal information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

For your protection, we are registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 and have given all appropriate notifications to the Information Commissioner.

Disputes

These terms will be construed in accordance with English law and The Kemp Townhouse and Client submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Website information

The Kemp Townhouse cannot accept responsibility for any errors or omissions and reserves the right to cancel, amend or vary the details featured in this website without notice. The information contained in this website is provided in good faith.

The use of any information from this website is entirely at the risk of the user. The Kemp Townhouse will not be liable for any costs, losses, expenses or damages (whether direct or indirect, special, economic or financial) that may be incurred through the use of any information contained in this website or in any other website linked to this website.
