On the Saturday the mini mile races for 7-17 year olds takes place at Preston Park, with over 2000
kids expected to take part along with their families, it’s sure to be a great day. Zoe Ball is kicking off
Sunday as official race starter this year , sending over 10,000 runners on their way, who are all taking
part for great charities like Mind, Macmillan, MS and British Heart Foundation to name a few. The
Beach Village has taken up usual residence on Marine Parade, this year it’s bigger with screens, lots
of food and drink stalls and the charity tents. This is a good base to enjoy the weekend and greet the

It’s been a lovely sunny couple of days in Brighton and just in time for the Easter weekend. If you can steal yourself away from all the chocolate treats, pop in to the Open Market off London Road. On Sunday 26th they are doing a free Easter fun day, for all the family, with great crafty activities for the kids including an egg hunt. While the kids are hunting, it’s a great chance for the adults to have a browse around the stalls; there is a great selection of handmade jewellery, candles, gifts and artwork and the makers themselves are usually there to have a chat with. It’s also a great chance to grab some fresh veg and dairy from local farmers, the Real Patisserie who supplies bread to Kemp Townhouse has an outlet, follow your nose and you’re sure to find something freshly baked. It is quite open as the name suggests but don’t let that put you off, wrap up warm and you can grab a coffee at one of the funky café’s. Don’t forget to pick up a bunch of flowers on the way out, we can’t think of a better way to start spring off. Find out more at www.brightonopenmarket.co.ukRead more
