Kemp Townhouse is in Atlingworth Street, a quiet location in the heart of Kemptown, just off St James’s Street. It is close to the beach as well as restaurants, shops and Brighton’s thriving night life.
How to find us
By train: From the station, walk down the hill towards the sea front and turn left (east). After a few minutes you will see Brighton Pier. Head towards it, and once there walk up towards the marina along Marine Parade. You will find Atlingworth Street just off to the left. It’s about a 25-minute walk. Alternatively, if you don’t fancy the walk, a taxi from the station will cost around £7.
By car: Follow the M23/A23 towards the seafront. Keep going until you see Brighton Pier in front of you. Turn left at the roundabout towards the Marina and Atlingworth Street is about 500 metres on your left, three roads past New Steine (small square). Atlingworth Street is a one-way street facing south, so you should turn left off the Seafront onto Lower Rock Gardens (two roads past New Steine), then right onto St James’s Street and immediately right again onto Atlingworth Street.
Parking: As with all areas of central Brighton, parking is very limited. We can offer visitors parking vouchers for Atlingworth Street and the surrounding streets, although there is no guarantee of available street parking. Vouchers are £8 per 24 hours. Alternatively, metered street parking can also be found in surrounding streets, with the same limitations on availability. There is also an NCP car park just five minutes’ walk from Kemp Townhouse in the High Street (see map). It costs £10 for 12-24 hours.
By coach: You arrive at Pool Valley Coach Station, which is close to the pier and only a 10-minute walk to Kemp Townhouse. If you are travelling by bus during busy periods, we recommend booking your tickets in advance, as seats can fill up.
By plane: Gatwick Airport is 40 minutes away by car and 25 minutes away by train. Heathrow is 70 minutes away by car or 90 minutes by National Express.
